Even though I was sad to see summer go, during the month of September I got to spend time in two places that are very close to my heart – Syracuse, New York, and Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.
In April and May I tried to strike a healthy balance between work, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and self-care, but then I went full-speed ahead once summer arrived. Here’s what I’ve been up to.
I mostly stayed put in April knowing May would be one of my busiest months of the year at work. Even so, I squeezed in back-to-back weekend trips to Portland, Savannah and Mexico City.
Even though I don’t have many vacation days yet at my new job, I’ve tried to make the most of local experiences and travels throughout New England and beyond over the past few months.
I started a new full-time job in December, so until I accumulate more vacation days, I’m working hard to make the most of my weekends!
The past two months have been pretty exciting – I visited New Zealand for the first time in November, and then I started a new full-time job when I got back to Boston in December!
After a pleasant summer at home in Boston, I’ve had a busy fall so far, dealing with some big changes. But, luckily, I have a lot to look forward to in November – I leave for New Zealand on the 10th!
For the second year in a row, I’ve spent most of July and August at home in Boston. It really is the best time of year to be here, so I didn’t mind.
The summer is off to a good start! In June I spent a week in Maine followed by a week in New Jersey to visit my family. Now I’ll be home in Boston for most of the summer.
After a relatively quiet March and April, which I mostly spent at home in Boston – except for a staycation at enVision Hotel Boston Everett – I was on the go throughout my birthday month of May.
